Role: Design Engineer

Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30 - 17:00 (flexible on hours - 40 hours per week)

Location: Halesowen, 5 days per week onsite  

I'm currently recruiting for a leading Engineering company of pressure vessels based near Halesowen, in the West Midlands. My client is looking for a Design Engineer to join them on a permanent basis due to growth in the company.

Design Engineer - Key responsibilities:

Produce Bill of materials and 2D Technical drawings
Interpret schematic drawings
Competent in basic force / moments and weight calculations
Ability to modify 3D CAD designs and to solve technical problems   

Design Engineer - Essential Skills & Experience:

Holds a HNC / HND or an Apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering or similar
Experienced in Design Engineering, particularly with designing pressure vessels and HGV Vehicle design
Proficient in AutoCAD or similar
Strong problem-solving skills
Experience working on Engineering based projects
