Role Summary:
We are seeking a Kubernetes Platform Engineer to manage and maintain container orchestration, GitOps, package management, container registries, and certificate services within AWS environments. This role involves hands-on experience with Amazon EKS, ArgoCD, Helm, ECR, AWS Private Certificate Authority, AWS Certificate Manager, Terraform, and GitHub Actions. You will ensure secure, reliable, and scalable Kubernetes platforms and automation pipelines through patching, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deploy, administer, and patch Amazon EKS clusters to support containerised applications
- Manage GitOps workflows and continuous delivery pipelines using ArgoCD
- Develop, maintain, and update Helm charts for Kubernetes application packaging
- Oversee container image repositories using AWS ECR and manage life cycle policies
- Administer AWS certificate services such as Private Certificate Authority and Certificate Manager to secure communication
- Build, manage, and update infrastructure as code using Terraform modules
- Automate CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and ensure pipelines are secure and performant
- Collaborate closely with development, security, and operations teams to ensure platform stability and security
- Document platform architecture, processes, and best practices
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience with Kubernetes, specifically Amazon EKS cluster management
- Hands-on experience with GitOps tools such as ArgoCD
- Knowledge of Helm chart creation and management
- Experience managing container registries, preferably AWS ECR
- Understanding of AWS Private CA and AWS Certificate Manager for certificate life cycle management
- Proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure as code implementation
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, especially GitHub Actions
- Solid troubleshooting skills and ability to support scalable cloud native environments
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)
- AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Kubernetes Specialty or AWS Solutions Architect
- Experience with security best practices in Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure
