We are working with a leading UK infrastructure delivery organisation to recruit a Senior Civil Engineer (Design) for their expanding in-house engineering consultancy, based in Bridgend.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established technical team delivering complex civil engineering solutions across water, heavy industrial, power, and design & build sectors. You’ll play a key role in the technical delivery and management of design projects, with genuine scope to influence outcomes and mentor others.
The Role
Reporting to a Senior Project Engineer, you will take responsibility for the technical delivery and management of either multiple smaller schemes or a larger project, contributing from early-stage design through to completion.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and delivering projects to agreed time, cost, and quality targets
- Managing tasks, resources, and technical outputs across project teams
- Preparing and controlling project budgets with an understanding of commercial frameworks
- Mentoring and providing technical guidance to Engineers, Graduates, and Technicians
- Coordinating multi-disciplinary design inputs to ensure robust and timely delivery
- Working collaboratively with clients, contractors, and the wider supply chain to develop project objectives
About You
To be considered, you’ll ideally have:
- A degree in Civil Engineering (or a suitable equivalent qualification)
- Strong technical design experience on multi-disciplinary civil engineering projects
- Good working knowledge of Eurocodes and UK industry standards
- Experience mentoring or technically managing junior engineers
- A UK/EEC driving licence
- Flexibility to travel to other UK offices, project sites, or client facilities on short-term assignments if required
