Home Elevator & Remodeling Sales Person
A home elevator and remodeling salesperson, a sales designer or project designer.meets with two types of customers. Prospective homeowners interested in aging in place or having a current accessibility need. They need a sales designer able to locate the elevator and convey the confidence necessary to modify the house and install the elevator. The sales person or sales designer’s goal is to develop a relationship, sell their design skills and the companies remodeling skills to achieve a retainer first and a high margin remodeling contract second.
The second type of customer is prospective Architects, Realtors and remodelers, builders and developers for contractor sales The sales designers goal is to develop referrals of upper-end homeowners looking to age in place or resolve a current need from Architects or Realtors...or develop repetitive elevator and accessible remodeling sales from builders and remodelers.
The sale of an intangible design remodel is challenging enough. Couple it with the public unfamiliarity with home elevators and it’s an even larger challenge. It is the most complex sale to a homeowner because what they want to buy does not yet exist. The successful elevator & accessible design sales person needs design, estimating, presentation, time management, and sales skills to be successful. Signature Elevators & Accessible Design is a dealer for many products including Federal and Waupaca Elevators, Pnuematic Vacuum Elevators, Stiltz Lifts as well as RAM, Harmar and Savaria wheelchair lifts and chair lifts.
A sales designer’s base salary is $26,000.00 added to that is generous compensation on each sale based on a sliding scale of GPM gross profit margin. An average project sales designer can make $50k to $60k and a very good salesperson someone willing to work hard putting in the hours necessary can make twice that.

If you have experience selling the complex and or intangible project such as custom homes, interior design, whole house remodeling or kitchen and bath remodeling etc... & think you can develop design skills then you may want to apply. We serve upper end home owners in The Greater Washington Metro Area installing home elevators, lifts and chairlifts as well as accessible bathrooms, single floor master suites and other accessible and aging in place projects.
