Veritas Education is working closely with a welcoming primary school in Lancaster to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant for a dual-role position starting in September 2025.

This full-time role offers the opportunity to work across two key stages:

• Mornings in Year 2, supporting the class teacher with general learning and providing 1:1 support where needed

• Afternoons in Year 5, offering both group and targeted individual support

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Teaching Assistant who enjoys variety in their role, thrives in different classroom environments, and wants to make a real difference across the school day.

• Hold a minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)

• Have strong phonics knowledge - this is essential, particularly for Year 2 support

• Ideally have experience or understanding of speech and language needs - desirable

• Be flexible, proactive, and positive with a genuine passion for supporting children

• Be a great team player with excellent communication skills

• A supportive and friendly staff team

• A positive, pupil-focused environment

• Opportunities to work closely with experienced teachers and other TAs

• A chance to build strong relationships with pupils and help them thrive
