About the Role:

At Zellis, the Product Manager - FinTech & Benefits is a new role that will own product strategy, development and mobilisation to market of our product in the FinTech and Benefits space. This will particularly be in the Financial Wellness space providing innovative products that link our market-leading payroll and HR software to new financial use cases. We will do this directly and through partnerships with FinTech partners (including our sister company Benefex) to deliver value to our customers and their employees.

Product management is often described as the intersection of customer needs, technology and business. In this role, for your product area, you will:

* Drive product strategy including product discovery and analysis and recommending the long-term roadmap for the product.

* Support product engineering supporting our scrum teams for each release.

* Drive product GTM ensuring that the best of Zellis is mobilised to get products to market and evangelising in the market for them.

* The Product Manager is very familiar with Zellis' customer needs and Zellis' strategy in meeting those needs and can translate those needs into new products and feature solutions. Their business mindset helps them prioritise new solutions in the development backlog.

* As product owner within the scrum team, the Product Manager defines the acceptance criteria for development collaborating closely with their counterpart engineering leads to ensure delivery and acts as the voice of the customer within scrum teams.This should not take more than 50% of a product manager's time.

* When a product has been developed, the Product Manager, works with other Zellis functions to ensure the product commercially and technically gets to customers effectively.

* As a result of this, the products or set of features in a product owned by the Product Manager achieve high customer NPS, appropriately high usage and low support tickets leading in turn to low customer churn and strong new sales.

Key Responsibilities:

Product discovery: Above all, develop a deep understanding of customer needs, our market positioning and Zellis' overall strategy to develop and own the product vision, strategy and roadmap of solutions to customer needs in the FinTech and Benefits space:

* Sharing of this insight across other parts of the business so you are the go-to person for understanding customer needs in your product area.

* Also, leverage data such as NPS and usage to supplement customer understanding.

Product prioritisation: Turn the product vision into action by recommending a MSCW backlog prioritisation of epics and partnerships validated by customer insight. Work with the engineering teams and director of partner management and product manager for connectors to ensure that approved epics have strong user stories and acceptance criteria.

Product development: Act as product owner within the scrum team, inputting the customer voice and the intent of the epic to the development team, refining the epics and prioritisation as appropriate and approving that acceptance criteria are met:

* Work with the director of partner management to build strong partnerships.

* Input to product demos as the voice of the customer.

* Role model the use of Azure DevOps (ADO), ensuring accurate completion and review of team inputs and outputs in order to promote continuous improvement.

* Collaborate with the UX team to support development of modern, intuitive, consistent UI.

Product go-to-market: Work with the delivery manager and other Zellis functions (especially sales, marketing, legal, consultancy, training, comms, Managed Services, HR) in line with the Zellis repeatable release model to ensure successful product release and adoption to initial customers and the market - including writing value propositions, FAQs and other key content:

* Collaborate with the technical communications team to support accurate, timely, effective release notes and other user documentation.

Product in-life: Support sales to strategic customers. Monitor product performance including NPS and usage identifying opportunities for improvement to feed into the product backlog.

Product end-of-life: Systematically review your product portfolio for products or features to sunset and develop and execute a sunsetting plan as appropriate.

Overall: Appropriately flag any obstacles to the appropriate Director of Product Management together with an intended solution demonstrating ownership of resolution.
