Approved Electrician - Cambridge

We are looking for an experienced Approved Electrician to join our client who is a well-established General Works team in Cambridge. Work is across sectors including Education, Healthcare, Commercial, Defence, and Research, servicing clients throughout Cambridgeshire and neighbouring counties.

What you'll do:

* Install, service, and repair a variety of electrical systems

* Carry out fault finding and modifications

* Test and inspect electrical installations, including producing Electrical Installation Condition Reports

* Work independently while representing the business professionally to clients

What we're looking for:

* Minimum 5 years' post-apprenticeship experience in commercial or industrial electrical work

* Strong understanding of BS7671, building regulations, and health & safety requirements

* Ability to work without supervision and use your initiative

* Full driving licence

Essential Qualifications & Skills:

* NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation - essential

* CSCS/ECS card - eligibility essential (training can be provided)

Desirable (training can be provided)

* 18th Edition certificate

* C&G 2391 or equivalent

* IPAF & PASMA

* SSSTS

* First Aid

Salary:
In line with the JIB Industrial Determination

Overtime Pay:

* Time and a half for the first 12 hours of overtime

* Double time after 12 hours

* Saturdays: Time and a half for the first 6 hours, then double time

* Sundays: Double time
