Job Title: Teaching Assistant

Leader Education are recruiting a teaching assistant for a large Sunderland based primary school.
This primary school provides its students with an enriching education, helping every single child to achieve their absolute very best.
This school also has a base for pupils with Special Needs and Disabilities (SEND), therefore some prior experience working with SEND or vulnerable individuals would be ideal.
The normal working pattern is Monday-Friday 8:30am until 4pm. Leader Education are dedicated to ensuring that we find adaptable roles and schedules that work effectively for you.
The successful Teaching Assistant will have:
- Have a fully enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one.
- Have experience of working in a transferable role.
- Follow personalised curriculums and care plans to meet pupil's requirements.
- Work with pupils on both a 1:1 basis and in group settings, communicating effectively.
- Participate in the planning and implementation of the child's curriculum through lesson planning and delivery.
- Possess good classroom skills.
- Set up lessons, equipment, and activities within the classrooms.
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other teams to create a holistic supportive environment for the pupil.
