We are currently working with a college in Norwich who require Exam Scribes to support learners during their upcoming GCSE exams. This is an excellent short-term opportunity for individuals with strong written communication skills who are confident working in an educational environment.

Exam Dates & TimesAll sessions run 8:00am – 12:00pm.

Role Requirements

To be successful in this position, you will need to demonstrate:

  • Strong written communication skills
  • Ability to write quickly, clearly, and accurately
  • Good spelling, grammar, and legible handwriting
  • Ability to record exactly what a learner dictates, without interpretation
  • Experience supporting students with additional needs
  • Experience within schools, colleges, or universities (advantageous)
  • Understanding of examination conditions and procedures (training can be provided)
  • Ability to listen carefully and transcribe without error
  • Ability to remain focused for extended periods
  • Awareness of JCQ/awarding body exam regulations
  • Professionalism, punctuality, and confidentiality
  • A calm and reliable approach
  • A DBS on the Update Service or willing to get one
