Reed Education are supporting a welcoming secondary school in Woburn Sands who are seeking a patient, reliable, and resilient 1-to-1 Teaching Assistant to work with a pupil who requires additional behaviour support.

This is a part-time, long-term position starting after Easter, ideal for someone looking to make a real difference in a young person’s school experience.

The Role

• Provide 1-to-1 support for a KS3 pupil with behavioural needs
• Help manage emotions, behaviours, and engagement in lessons
• Work closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams to follow support plans
• Maintain a calm, consistent presence to encourage positive routines
• Support the pupil in class and during transitions where required

What We’re Looking For

• Experience supporting pupils with behavioural or SEMH needs
• A calm, patient, and understanding approach
• Strong communication and de-escalation skills
• Reliability and a commitment to supporting long-term progress
• School experience preferred but not essential
