Salary: £40000 - £45000/annum

One of my clients who are based in Wakefield are looking for a Senior Management Accountant to join them on a permanent basis due to growth.

This role would be suitable for someone who has a wealth of experience dealing with the month and year end process, who has previously managed a small team and someone who lives local to Wakefield, who would be happy to travel into the office full-time.

The successful person will work alongside a knowledgeable and personable FC and will work closely with the FD whilst preparing the monthly management accounts.

The business have continued to grow throughout this last year and as a result, have added a number of new hires to their friendly and vibrant team. The environment is relaxed and has a family-feel to it, so you are sure to feel welcome and part of the team in no time!

Duties include:

Manage and support the accounts team, including the transactional team leader and the credit control team
Cover direct reports during holiday periods
Act as a Credit Manager to the credit team, referring any issues to the FC and FD as required
Guide and support the management accounts team in the preparation of management accounts
Carrying out analysis and providing financial reports to the FC and FD
Review balance sheet reconciliations
Oversee inter-company reconciliations
Process expenses
Assist the FC and FD in the annual audit process
Prepare budgets and forecasts

They are willing to consider those who are part-way through their studies towards ACA, CIMA or ACCA along with those who are qualified by experience, as long as you have proven experience of working in a similar role.
