You'll be joining a high-profile public sector organisation within a busy Commercial Department, supporting a range of Hard FM and maintenance-related projects. The environment is fast-paced, collaborative, and focused on delivering compliant, value-driven procurement activity.Your new role

As an Interim Commercial Manager, you will provide hands-on commercial and procurement support for Hard FM and maintenance contracts. This is a delivery-focused role suited to someone who can hit the ground running and operate as a proactive "doer" rather than a strategic lead.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering compliant end-to-end procurements, including above-threshold procurements under PCR 2015, the Procurement Act 2023, and via existing frameworks.
• Managing Hard FM procurement activity, including PPM, reactive maintenance, and minor works contracts.
• Applying knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 contracts.
• Supporting category and project strategies through market analysis, supplier engagement, and benchmarking.
• Building strong relationships with internal customers and promoting good contract management practices.
• Managing project data within the e-sourcing system and supporting improved data and systems usage.
• Understanding contractual obligations, KPIs, performance standards, and commercial levers.
• Communicating clearly and effectively to support policy and process changes.
• Delivering high-quality commercial outputs on time and to required standards.
• Managing competing priorities and operational demands.
• Producing BAU reports and contributing commercial content for board papers.

This is a 6-month interim contract.What you'll need to succeed

• Strong Hard FM procurement experience.Knowledge of PCR 2015 and the Procurement Act 2023.
• Familiarity with NEC3/NEC4 contracts.
• Ability to work autonomously, prioritise effectively, and deliver at pace.
• A practical, hands-on approach with the ability to support rather than lead.
• Experience managing maintenance contracts and FM-related commercial activity.
