Maintenance Manager

Ready to step into a role where you don't just maintain assets—you transform how they perform? We're looking for a Maintenance Manager who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is passionate about reliability, efficiency, and continuous improvement. This is a permanent, site-based role, working Monday to Friday, 08:30-17:00, offering a competitive salary alongside a strong benefits package.

This is more than maintenance—it's about driving performance at scale. You'll be at the heart of the operation, leading the strategy behind asset reliability and using data and insight to make smart, impactful decisions. You'll also play a key role in shaping and delivering large-scale projects and significant ongoing investment coming into the site, providing clear direction and leadership to ensure successful execution and long-term value.

You'll take ownership of asset performance from end to end—optimising equipment, improving processes, and shaping long-term investment plans. You'll analyse condition and failure trends, deliver targeted interventions, and build strong business cases to support capital investment. Alongside this, you'll tackle root causes, prevent repeat issues, and develop contingency plans that keep operations running smoothly.

What you'll be responsible for:

Leading asset management strategy aligned to operational objectives
Driving reliability, performance, and continuous improvement across site operations
Analysing asset data to identify risks, failures, and improvement opportunities
Delivering maintenance, refurbishment, and replacement strategies
Building business cases for capital investment and major project work
Supporting delivery of large-scale investment and development programmes
Developing contingency plans to minimise downtime and operational risk
Leading investigations into asset failure and implementing corrective actions
Influencing supplier performance and ensuring engineering standards are met

What we're looking for:

Minimum 7 years' experience in engineering management or leadership
Proven track record of leading large site teams in a manufacturing or FMCG environment
Strong technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems (PLCs, sensors, hydraulics, pneumatics)
Experience driving asset reliability and performance improvements
Confident working with maintenance and asset management systems
Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn data into practical action
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
A proactive, continuous improvement mindset with strong commercial awareness
Ability to lead from the front in a fast-paced, high-change environment

This is a high-impact role with real influence over operational success, offering the chance to shape asset strategy and drive long-term performance. In return, you'll benefit from a competitive salary, matched pension contributions, life assurance, a share save scheme, and ongoing development opportunities to support your career progression.
