Long Term Futures are working with a high-achieving and community-driven primary school in the E6 area of Newham to appoint an experienced KS2 Teacher to lead a Year 6 class from October 2025.

The school has a strong track record of supporting students through their final year of primary education, with a well-resourced curriculum, excellent leadership support and a dedicated intervention programme in place. This role is ideal for a teacher confident in preparing pupils for KS2 SATs, managing a high-expectation classroom, and supporting transition to secondary school.

Key Responsibilities:* Deliver engaging and challenging lessons in line with the Year 6 curriculum* Prepare pupils for end-of-year SATs with clear academic targets and tailored support* Differentiate learning for pupils with a range of abilities, including EAL and SEN* Monitor, assess and report on progress against school benchmarks and national standards* Collaborate with TAs, subject leads and SLT to ensure the highest standards of teaching and learning* Foster a supportive and positive classroom culture to help build resilience and independence

Ideal Candidate Will Have:* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential* Proven experience teaching Year 6 and preparing students for SATs* Strong behaviour management skills and a positive classroom presence* Excellent subject knowledge across KS2 core curriculum* A reflective, driven approach and the ability to work well as part of a wider team
