HGV Class 2 Driver – Edinburgh

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Edinburgh, specialising in domestic and international removals.

This is a fantastic full-time opportunity offering consistent work, structured routes, and occasional UK-wide travel with overnight stays.

Newly passed drivers are welcome to apply.

Shifts
• Monday to Friday: 07:45 – 16:00 / 17:00

Rates of Pay
• £14.75 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties
• Driving Class 2 vehicles for domestic, commercial, and international removals
• Assisting with manual handling as part of all deliveries and collections
• Operating vehicles safely and efficiently on both local and long-distance routes
• Completing relevant delivery and journey documentation
• Adhering to traffic laws and company safety procedures
• Supporting UK-wide moves, including overnight stays as required (hotel or sleeper van depending on team size)

Essential Skills
• Valid UK Category C (Class 2) Driving Licence
• Valid CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
• Physically fit and able to assist with manual handling
• Strong communication and timekeeping skills
• Willingness to travel and stay overnight when required
• Maximum of six penalty points (no IN, DD, or CD endorsements accepted)

Desirable Experience
• Previous experience in removals or long-distance driving

Training Provided
• Short driving assessment prior to start
• One-day paid induction following successful assessment
