We're seeking a dedicated individual to oversee classrooms, support learning, and maintain a positive environment in the absence of teachers.

Responsibilities

* Oversee and regulate student conduct in the teacher's absence.

* Establish a secure, safe and disciplined learning atmosphere.

* Confirm students' comprehension of assignments and sustain their engagement.

* Provide assistance to students facing challenges in grasping the material.

* Demonstrate adaptability by being willing to cover various subjects or year levels.

* Readily undertake additional school duties as needed.

* Work within and implement the schools behaviour policy, maintaining high standards.

* Safeguarding the pupils within your care in line with the KCSIE guidance 2025

Requirements

* A minimum of GCSE's in Mathematics and English

* Strong Communication skills and the ability to adapt quickly

* Organisation and Time Management skills

* Be able to effectively manage a classroom environment along with following lesson plans

* To be able to positively engage with students of all ages and abilities

* At least 6 months experience of working with children - not necessarily in a classroom setting.

* DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) on the update service or willingness to apply for one

* The flexibility to work across multiple work sites and you will have the skills to adapt to different settings.

* Confidence and passion to pursue a career in an educational setting.
