* Investigating cracks, distortion, and movement

* Assessing concerns raised during surveys or mortgage valuations

The role would suit an engineer with an interest in all residential building types including historic, timber framed, non-traditional and modern-day construction with commercial and industrial buildings added to the mix.

The Role

* Conduct site surveys and the preparation of written engineering reports.

* Reports to include pre-sale, insurance related, feasibility studies and due diligence.

* Active assistance in developing the business with new work streams and recruitment.

* Some design work.

Requirements

* Extensive report writing experience and an interest in forensic surveying.

* Ability to operate independently and contribute to the business.

* Ideally Chartered MIStructE or MICE.

* Car owner and UK driving licence
