What you'll be doing:

As the Regional Financial Controller for Treatment North & East you will partner with the Regional Directors ensuring accurate, timely, and insightful information is available to support business decisions. You will lead a large team of finance professionals and create a culture that supports continuous learning and high performance.

Key to success will be the ability to positively challenge the business and to gain a deep understanding of the operations and associated strategy to ensure excellence in financial support. The successful candidate will be an articulate confident and robust team player and will be responsible for:
  • Supporting the Regional Director in all areas of finance
  • Act as deputy to the Divisional Financial Director when needed
  • Supporting management accounting, project financial management, and bid activities
  • Responsible for Statutory Accounts, Audit and Group Reporting
  • Optimising business performance through financial analysis and controls
  • Integrating financial considerations into all business aspects
  • Providing financial analysis for new business growth and contract retention
  • Utilising commercial acumen to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
  • Managing the regional finance team, focusing on succession planning and team development
  • Ensuring high-quality financial control and reporting
  • Providing accurate, timely, and insightful financial information
  • Leading division-wide projects and contribute to zone projects
  • Contributing to strategic planning and budgeting processes
  • Leading continuous improvement initiatives

What we're looking for:
  • Experience of Business Partnering
  • Broad grounding of finance professional experience
  • 10 years post qualified experience or equivalent
  • People management of a large geographically dispersed team
  • Change management
  • Project management
