We have an incredible (and very rare) opportunity to join us as our Assistant Director of Customer and Housing Services! You will have overall responsibility for our housing management functions, including: income, lettings, anti-social behaviour, estate management, supported housing, resident involvement and engagement, customer experience and complaints.
We own and manage c.7,500 homes in the east of England, working closely with other agencies and stakeholders within our communities. We build on the good foundations we have in place in being a customer-centric organisation, investing in our existing homes - including our zero-carbon journey - as well as building new homes.

Requirements
Outline of Key Responsibilities...
- Playing an effective and significant part in the setting and management of our corporate strategy direction and delivery; setting long term and annual targets to deliver these
- Delivering excellent customer services to our residents who live in our c.7,500 homes, using customer insight, other data and experience to inform strategic decision making and develop and improve services
- You will lead our customer and housing service teams and ensure delivery of great services to our residents and customers, which include (but not be limited to): Customer Experience, Resident Engagement, Neighbourhood and Estates, Supported Housing, Allocations, and Income
- You will be the lead for developing and championing customer facing strategies, rolling these out across the business, ensuring a strong customer voice influences service design, development and improvement and identifying ICT solutions to support this
- Be responsible for ensuring that our complaints handling process aligns to the requirements of the Housing Ombudsman Service, completing the relevant self-assessments, reports and oversight to remain compliant
We are looking for someone who has...
- Minimum of Level 4 CIH qualification (or be willing to work towards this)
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
- Knowledge of the statutory and regulatory framework of housing associations and the social housing sector
- Experience leading on multi-faceted operational teams and implementing relevant policies and procedures
- Budgetary and financial management experience
- Ability to query IT systems to assist in decision making and performance management
- Experience of writing strategies, policy and procedures
