Position: Qualified Domestic Gas Engineer

Example Recruitment Group is currently working with a well-established national heating contractor specialising in the local authority sector. They are seeking a qualified Domestic Gas Engineer to cover the M4 Corridor from Reading to West London. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out servicing, repairs, and maintenance within domestic social housing properties on a Housing Association contract.

Key Responsibilities:

* Carry out annual Gas Safety Checks (LGSR)

* Fault finding and repairs on central heating systems

* Deliver a high level of customer service, ensuring tenants receive excellent care

* Adhere to all Health & Safety regulations, including Risk Assessments, Safe Systems of Work, and COSHH records

Requirements:

* A minimum of 2 years' experience with gas qualifications

* Extensive experience in servicing boilers and gas appliances, as well as strong fault-finding, diagnostic, and repair skills

* In-date ACS qualifications, including CKR1 & HTR1

* Full UK driving licence

* No unspent criminal convictions (DBS check to be carried out upon offer of employment)

Salary & Benefits:

* 42.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

* Additional overtime and weekend work available at enhanced rates

* Van, tools, PPE/uniform, and PDA provided

* Salary: £38,000 rising to £40,000 per year after probation

* Out-of-hours call-out rota (1 week in 4) paid £600 per week during winter (October to March) and £400 per week in summer (April to September) guaranteeing an additional £7,000 per year on top of salary

* OTE £45,000+ per annum

* 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
