Materials Planner - Part - time

Monday - Wedneday (1 day onsite)

Salary: £22,000 - £24,000

Alexander Steele Recruitment are supporting a successful manufacturing company in recruiting a Part‑Time Materials Planner.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

* Create and share weekly, fortnightly and monthly forecasts with suppliers

* Review supplier responses and raise any concerns with the Materials Lead

* Build positive relationships with suppliers and internal departments

* Support new product development by preparing future material forecasts and reducing potential waste

* Maintain and update materials master data in the system

* Produce weekly OTIF reports and explain performance trends

* Help manage schedule changes with cross‑functional teams

* Assist with supply chain improvement projects

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

* Experience in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment

* A background in materials planning or supply chain administration

* Strong analytical skills and confidence working with data

* Good communication skills and the ability to work well with others

* Strong IT skills, including ERP systems and advanced Excel

* Good attention to detail and strong organisational ability

* A proactive attitude and the ability to stay calm under pressure

* A willingness to learn and take initiative
