Are you a passionate and committed individual with experience supporting students in a secondary school setting? A thriving and inclusive secondary school in Hackney is seeking a Teaching Assistant to join their team from September.

The Role - Teaching Assistant
You will play a vital role in supporting teaching and learning across KS3 and KS4, both in and out of the classroom. Working closely with teaching staff, SEN teams, and pastoral leads, you will provide both group and 1:1 support to ensure all students can access the curriculum and achieve their potential.

Key Responsibilities - Teaching Assistant

* Provide academic support to students across a range of subjects (KS3-KS4)

* Support the class teacher in delivering engaging, inclusive lessons

* Deliver small group and 1:1 intervention where required

* Assist students with SEN and additional needs to access learning

* Help manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning environment

* Liaise with staff and parents on student progress and well-being

* Support with exam preparation, homework clubs, or enrichment as required

The Ideal Candidate - Teaching Assistant

* Minimum 1 year of experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a secondary school

* A strong academic background - ideally with a degree or excellent A-Level/GCSE results

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

* Confident supporting a range of learners, including those with SEN or EAL needs

* Professional, patient, and committed to student development

* Able to build positive relationships with students and staff
