Our client is a forward-thinking, fast-paced engineering company manufacturing some of the most technologically advanced agricultural/industrial machinery in Northern Ireland with worldwide distribution and are currently recruiting for a Lead Service Technician to join their team. Role: Lead Service Technician

Location: Downpatrick, Co. Down

Duration: Temp - perm

Rate of Pay: £16 - £18 per hour

Hours of work: Monday - Friday (41.25 hpw)

Main duties and responsibilities:

• Pre-delivery inspection of new machinery before customer delivery
• Service and maintenance of machinery (in factory and customer sites)
• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic and mechanical faults
• Build strong relationships with customers, ensuing an excellent service experience
• A high focus on continuous improvement initiatives
• Report factory defects and assist with solutions
• Ability to adapt and learn new tools/ techniques as needed and a willingness to embrace change

Essential requirements

• Minimum 3 years' experience in mechanical engineering work
• Strong understanding of mechanical and hydraulic systems
• Ability to read technical manuals and diagrams effectively
• Skilled at providing excellent customer service, on-site and over the phone.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure as well as part of a team
• Full UK driving licence or equivalent

Desirable Requirements

• Basic vehicle electronic knowledge
• CANBUS knowledge
• Knowledge of LEAN production practices
