Salary: £20000 - £22000/annum

We are looking for a Senior Sample Coordinator to support our highly respected and knowledgeable Laboratory team. This position requires someone with great customer service skills across telephone and email as well as strong administrative skills and ability to work to high detail at fast pace.

Overview
RPS Laboratories are part of the RPS Group. We pride ourselves on our high level of customer care and the quality of our varied and diverse services.
Our RPS Services Division operates from purpose-built laboratory facilities which have a long history of providing expert advice and analytical solutions to a wide range of industrial and service sectors including: pathology & biological, occupational hygiene & environmental & trace organics. Our laboratories enjoy an international reputation for solving complex and novel analytical problems in unusual matrices.
Responsibilities
* Register samples into LIMS for the correct test, turnaround time and price.
* Communicate any sample deviations & sample queries to customers.
* Ensure samples have appropriate purchase orders.
* Enter results into LIMS and certificates generated in agreed timescales.
* Enter customer supply orders onto ordering system ensuring confirmation is communicated to the customer.
* Complete supply orders in agreed timescales following laboratory procedures.
* Prepare and despatch sampling pumps.
* Order consumables/sampling media as required to ensure adequate stocks are maintained.
* Maintain housekeeping standards
* Comply with H&S requirements, promote safe working practices and report any H&S concerns to senior management.
* Check sample receipts before emailing to the client
* Email reports to the client
* Liaise with client's with regards to sample media orders/sample progress
* Assist/supervise junior members of the team
Experience/Skills
* Experience of customer interactions by telephone and email
* Ability to prioritise work to specified deadlines
* High attention to detail
* Good organisational skills are essential
