This is an ongoing contract opportunity working on the electrical overhaul of rail HVAC units.Duties will include:HVAC overhaul, repair and fault findingReading schematics and technical drawingsElectrical builds and wiringCrimping and solderingPipe bendingBrazing (desirable)Re-engineering and production of spare partsGeneral electrical and mechanical repair and replacement work on rolling stockThe role involves ensuring trains are safe, reliable and defect-free through high-quality overhaul and maintenance work.Backgrounds considered:Rolling Stock, Automotive, Marine, Aviation, Military, HGV, Aerospace, HVAC, Vehicle Technicians, Electricians, Electrical Engineers, Plumbers or similar engineering environments.Requirements:NVQ Level 2 (minimum) or equivalent in an Electrical or Mechanical disciplineIdeally time-served / apprentice trainedStrong all-round electrical and mechanical knowledgeExperience working with HVAC systems preferredAble to read technical drawings and schematicsAble to work on own initiativeGood communication skillsF-Gas certification and brazing experience would be beneficial but are not essential.All applicants must be able to pass a Drugs & Alcohol test prior to starting.If you're interested, please get in touch:
