Mechanical Design Engineer - (Building Services Design / MEP)

This role is with a friendly established consultancy, specialising in Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health design, with a focus on energy strategies and low carbon design. Projects include large residential, health care, education, commercial and retail.
Responsibilities
* Carry out mechanical design and project management for various types of projects
* Carry out condition and feasibility surveys
* Liaise with clients and attend meetings with senior engineers or alone, as appropriate.
* Overseeing and supervising the installation of building systems and specifying maintenance and operating procedures
* Work alongside senior design engineers and complete tasks which will further your development and learning as an engineer.
* Using specialist computer-aided design (CAD) and BIM (Revit) software and other resources to design the systems required for the project
Experience & Qualifications
* Ideally educated to degree level but with a minimum level of HNC in mechanical design or building services
* A minimum of 2 years' experience of building services design
* Knowledge / experience of calculations, drawings, specifications, etc
* Experience of working in a consultancy, contractor or local authority / housing association in a design capacity
* A UK driving licence would be beneficial
