Sourcing Pro Recruitment is proud to be working on behalf of Worcestershire County Council, who are seeking dedicated Care Support Workers to join their team and provide high-quality, person-centred support.

About the Role

As a Care Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting adults with disabilities to live independently, with dignity and respect. You will provide assistance with personal care, daily living tasks, social activities, and the development of life skills – always ensuring the individual’s choices, independence, and wellbeing are at the heart of everything you do.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and physical support (e.g. washing, dressing, meals).
  • Encourage and support individuals to take part in social, recreational, and therapeutic activities.
  • Help people maintain important relationships with family, friends, and the community.
  • Assist with day-to-day domestic tasks.
  • Keep accurate records of care, incidents, and support provided.
  • Support with care planning and risk assessments.
  • Administer/distribute medication as directed.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and supervision.
What We’re Looking For

Essential:

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal).
  • Understanding of the rights and needs of people with disabilities.
  • Ability to promote independence, dignity, and respect.
  • Ability to record information clearly and accurately.
  • Willingness to undertake training (including mandatory and vocational training).

Desirable:

  • Experience in a residential or community care setting.
  • Knowledge of health & safety and risk assessments in a care environment.
  • Experience in care planning.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and within a team.
  • Training in Moving & Handling / Fire Awareness (training available if not held).
