Space 8 Recruitment are searching for a Qualified Financial Director for our R&D client based in Coventry.   This role could suit a Financial Controller looking to make a move to Financial Director level, or could suit someone who is already a Financial Director looking for an exciting new opportunity. The Company This R&D company is growing and has been for some time.  They are based close to Warwick University, in beautiful premises, and have been established for over 20 years. (t/o £58m)The Role 

• Managing a team of 9 in finance including 2 part timers 
• Managing the day to day activities of the finance team 
• Developing and implementing financial strategies that align with the company's goals, including budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management. 
• Advising the MD and Board on all financial activities, sanity checking all decisions from a financial perspective 
• Preparation of the statutory accounts and oversight of the management accounts 
• Ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting to stakeholders.
• Identifying and mitigating financial risks, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and corporate governance standards. 
• Deciding pricing on all new and existing goods 
• First point of contact for auditors 

 What are we looking for? 

• You must be ACA, ACCA or CIMA  fully qualified with several years post qualification experience. 
• Previous experience of managing a finance team is essential
• You will either be a FC looking for a first FD role or an FD looking for a new challenge with a growing company. 
• You will have demonstrable experience in all of the duties outlined above
