Straight-Line Civils are currently hiring a Senior Electrical Design Engineer based out of the client's Head Office in Bromsgrove.

This company provides expert civil engineering solutions, delivering projects that span infrastructure, utilities, and complex groundworks. Their work combines technical precision with innovative methods to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality results.

You will lead the design and estimation of industrial electrical projects, with a focus on WIMES-compliant water industry projects and other utilities. You will also provide technical leadership, check junior designs, engage directly with clients, and ensure safe, buildable, cost-effective design solutions.

The company offers career progression to Principal Design Engineer.

Requirements:

* Degree or HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering

* 5+ years' relevant industry experience (industrial/water/wastewater/utilities)

* Proven ability to produce and review detailed electrical designs, calculations, and electrical estimation

* Proficient with AutoCAD 2D and Amtech/Trimble ProDesign (or equivalent)

* Strong understanding of WIMES, NEC contracts, CDM, and H&S in design

* Excellent communication and client-facing ability

Desirable:

* Experience mentoring junior engineers

* NEBOSH General/Construction

* Estimating, bid preparation and project costing expertise

* AutoCAD Electrical and control panels schematics

* Incorporated Engineer (IEng) or Chartered Engineer (CEng) or working towards

Pay - £55,000 to £60,000
