The Role
As a Principal Electronics Engineer, you'll be a key contributor to complex avionics product development projects, from concept through to system integration and delivery. You will lead design initiatives, support system-level integration, and ensure compliance with industry and regulatory standards. This role offers the opportunity to make a real impact while mentoring and guiding junior engineers.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of complex electronic circuits and systems.
*
Integrate electronic systems into avionic platforms with a focus on reliability and performance.
*
Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams and junior engineers.
*
Ensure design compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
*
Support cross-functional collaboration and effective project execution.
Key Skills & Experience
*
Strong background in both analogue and digital circuit design.
*
Experience with FPGA and ASIC development using VHDL or Verilog.
*
Knowledge of simulation tools such as SPICE, Cadence, or Mentor Graphics.
*
Understanding of signal integrity, EMC, and mixed-signal design.
*
Proficiency in PCB design and power management.
*
Hands-on experience with test equipment including oscilloscopes and spectrum analysers.
*
Proven ability to lead projects, manage resources, and mentor others.
Education & Qualifications
*
Degree (or equivalent) in electronics engineering or a related discipline.
*
Chartered Engineer status (or working towards) is desirable.
*
Must be eligible to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC).
Working Arrangements
*
Based in Hastings with hybrid working (mix of on-site and remote).
*
Occasional travel may be required.
