Reed Education is dedicated to providing Whole School Recruitment to Secondary Schools across Wyre & Fylde, Cumbria & Lancashire. We are currently seeking a dynamic Maths Teacher to join a school in Lancaster starting in April. This role is ideal for someone with a strong knowledge of the curriculum, effective communication skills, and a dedication to creating an engaging learning environment.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Deliver engaging and informative Maths lessons to students at KS3 and KS4 levels; teaching KS5 is an advantage but not essential.
  • Utilise strong subject knowledge to enhance student learning and meet curriculum standards.
  • Maintain effective classroom management skills.
  • Serve as a good role model to students, demonstrating qualities such as compassion, trustworthiness, politeness, and good listening skills.
  • Work reliably and commit to the role, demonstrating patience and confidence when working with children.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Must have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Recent relevant experience teaching Maths at KS3 and KS4 levels; experience at KS5 is advantageous.
  • Excellent classroom practitioner with robust subject knowledge and classroom management skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills, trustworthiness, punctuality, and the ability to be patient and confident when working with children.
