HSE Advisor Opportunity!

We are working with a well-established manufacturing business to recruit an experienced HSE Advisor to support and strengthen Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (HSEQ) performance across its operations.

The Role

You'll play a key role in promoting a safe and compliant working environment, partnering with operational teams to identify risks, drive improvements, and ensure adherence to legislation and internal management systems. This is a hands-on role with a strong focus on engagement, continuous improvement, and incident prevention.

Key Responsibilities

* Conduct site inspections, identifying hazards and driving risk reduction

* Lead incident investigations and implement preventative actions

* Provide clear, timely HSE advice to employees and contractors

* Support subcontractor management (RAMS reviews, inductions)

* Deliver HSE inductions and contribute to training initiatives

* Produce monthly HSEQ reports and performance statistics

* Monitor trends and support continuous improvement plans

* Chair HSEQ meetings and track actions to completion

* Support internal/external audits and maintain ISO standards

* Promote occupational health and wellbeing initiatives

* Ensure compliance with all relevant HSE legislation and standards

About You

Essential:

* NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent)

* Environmental qualification (e.g. ISEP Foundation Certificate or similar)

* Knowledge of key regulations (e.g. PUWER, LOLER, COSHH, Work at Height)

* Experience in manufacturing, heavy industry, or similar fast-paced environments

* Strong communication skills with the ability to influence safe behaviours

* Proficient in Microsoft Office

Desirable:

* Experience delivering training (e.g. AET/PTTLS)

* Internal auditor training (ISO 9001/14001/45001)

* Knowledge of machinery safety regulations

* Background supporting construction-related operations
