Part-Time Finance Manager / Senior Bookkeeper (Remote, UK-based)

We are working with a growing UK-based residential property developer to recruit an experienced finance professional to support their ongoing growth.

This is a hands-on role within a small team, offering broad exposure across the full finance function and the opportunity to work closely with the business owner.

Role summary

• Job title: Finance Manager / Senior Bookkeeper (part-time)
• Hours: 4 days per week (Mon to Thu), primarily remote with occasional monthly travel to London
• Salary: £36,000 (4-day week) equivalent to £45,000 full-time
• Start date: Ideally May 2026
• Contract: Permanent with 3-month probation

The role

Reporting directly to the Director, you will take ownership of the day-to-day finance function, ensuring accurate reporting and strong financial control across the business.

Responsibilities will include:

• Bookkeeping and management accounts
• VAT returns and compliance
• Payroll processing
• Supporting statutory requirements
• Maintaining accurate financial records and reporting

Candidate profile

• Strong practical experience across bookkeeping, management accounts, VAT and payroll
• Comfortable working in a hands-on role within a small business environment
• Experience using Sage and Excel
• Able to work independently and manage priorities in a remote setting
• Property, construction or development sector experience would be beneficial but not essential

This role would suit someone who enjoys being close to the detail, taking ownership, and working as part of a collaborative but lean team.
