Teaching Assistant – SEN (Full-Time, Immediate Start)

Join a welcoming and supportive specialist school in Yeovil where staff are passionate about helping every child thrive.

This setting provides a nurturing, structured environment for pupils aged 4 to 18 with a range of Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), complex needs, and associated behavioural or physical challenges.

Role & Responsibilities
  • Support pupils 1:1 and in small groups to access learning
  • Assist with literacy, numeracy and communication activities
  • Encourage engagement, independence and positive behaviour
  • Provide personal care and mobility support where required
  • Help create a safe, stimulating classroom environment
  • Work closely with teachers and therapists to meet individual needs
Working Hours & Pay
  • Hours: 8.40am to 4.30pm
  • Pay: £14.25 per hour
  • Interviews taking place in May 2026
What We’re Looking For
  • Minimum 6 months childcare experience (essential)
  • Experience supporting children with SEN highly desirable
  • Patient, adaptable and committed approach
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
