A globally recognised aerospace manufacturer in Denham is looking for a Parachute Packer to join their team. You'll be packing and inspecting parachutes and drogues used in aviation safety systems for fighter jets - detailed, precise work in a safety-critical environment where the quality of what you produce genuinely matters.

What you'll be doing:

Packing parachutes and drogues to technical specifications and manuals

Drawing parts from stores and recording batch numbers and history sheets

Inspecting parachutes for flaws and documenting findings accurately

Preparing parachutes for loading into presses and operating presses to specification

Carrying out self-inspection and peer inspection to company standards

Surveying and repacking parachutes for the MRO business as required

Supporting development programmes on prototypes and test pieces

Maintaining tools and equipment and reporting any defects

Following all H&S regulations including risk assessments and safe systems of work

What you need:

Engineering or manufacturing background

Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications

Good attention to detail and manual dexterity

Basic understanding of H&S policies and procedures

Basic IT skills

GCSE Maths and English (grades D-G or equivalent)

Parachute packing experience is desirable but not essential - full training will be provided. A mechanical engineering apprenticeship is a bonus.

Days: 08:00-17:00 Mon-Thu / 08:00-12:00 Fri
