SEN Maths Specialist Tutor (Dyscalculia Focus) - Basildon, Essex

Remedy Tutors are looking for a compassionate and experienced Maths Specialist Tutor to support a young learner with SEN and dyscalculia based in Basildon, Essex.

Role Details:

Location: Basildon (in-person)
Hours: 2 hours per week (flexible scheduling)
Start Date: ASAP

About the Learner:

The student has a diagnosis of dyscalculia and requires tailored, structured support to build confidence and foundational numeracy skills. An understanding and patient approach is essential.

🔍 We're Looking For:

A qualified Maths tutor or teacher with experience working with SEN learners

Specific experience supporting children with dyscalculia or significant numeracy challenges

Someone who can deliver engaging, multisensory lessons that are accessible and enjoyable

A tutor who can adapt strategies to meet the child's learning style and EHCP goals

Requirements:

Enhanced DBS (on the update service)

Proven experience supporting SEN learners, especially with dyscalculia

Relevant teaching or tutoring qualification preferred

Excellent communication and reporting skills
