Buyer / Procurement Specialist

Full-Time, Permanent | Monday-Friday | Onsite in Norwich, Norfolk

They are looking for a proactive and commercially minded Buyer / Procurement Specialist to join their purchasing team. This role will play a key part in managing supplier relationships, negotiating margins, and ensuring efficient lead times to support ongoing operations.

Key Responsibilities

Communicate regularly with suppliers to manage availability, pricing, and delivery schedules.
Negotiate margins and lead times to ensure best value and continuity of supply.
Raise purchase orders and monitor order progress through to delivery.
Support cost control and continuous improvement within the procurement process.
Work closely with internal teams to ensure materials meet operational requirements.
Source components in line with company standards and specifications.
Skills & Experience

Previous experience in a Buyer or Procurement role.
Experience with hydraulics and pneumatic components would be advantageous.
Confident communicating and negotiating with suppliers.
Strong understanding of margins, pricing, and lead times.
Organised, detail-oriented, and commercially aware.
