We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly-qualified Project Associate to assist project managers/consultants with in-depth market research skills for project execution, proposal assembly, programs, publications and studies. TCG consists of two organizations: The Catalyst Group Consulting (TCGC), which brings our unique competency and talent base directly into our clients’ companies by working on both a traditional project‐specific business model, for one‐time project work, as well as a key account model creating an internal resource extension to your business and allowing for an intimate relationship within our client’s team. The Catalyst Group Resources (TCGR) is an information company for ongoing monitoring of technical and commercial developments in the process industries, delivering its value-added services via membership programs, multi-client studies, industry publications and conferences/workshops. If this sounds like the kind of career move you’ve been looking for, and if you meet our qualifications, we want to talk with you Here’s just some of what we have to offer: Competitive salary Performance bonus structure based on both individual performance and the company’s overall performance and profitability Medical/dental/vision benefits Retirement benefit (Simple IRA) Generous vacation allowance 10 paid holidays per year Beautiful suburban office Small team environment Flexible and entrepreneurial setting Job Responsibilities TCG Consulting – Client Project Research Needs Assist project managers/consultants with in-depth market research for both project execution and proposal assembly Generation of content for client projects (including graphs, tables, etc) Assembly of client confidential reports Be able to manipulate models or extract information from models to satisfy unique single client requests Prepare proposals and other correspondence for consultants/project managers Maintain a detailed working knowledge of the basic proprietary databases and market-research tools (e.g. Profound, Delphion, Lexis-Nexis, Dialog Chem, BoxScore, etc.) Pro-actively maintain and assemble working ‘data files’ on relevant client companies and core consulting areas. Assist with scheduling of client meetings, internal team meetings, etc. Help manage project deadlines, maintaining knowledge of project progress Establish and grow areas of technical/commercial expertise in one or several areas of the catalytic process and/or catalysis industries, including refining, petrochemicals, environmental and polymerization Other duties, as requested by staff members TCG Resources – Study and Program Research Needs Conduct research for all materials related to The Catalyst Group Resources programs, publications, and studies Provide market research and data/analysis support for multi-client study announcements (e-mail marketing, list management, etc.) Monitor companies of interest for commercial and technical advances via websites and press releases, etc. Other duties, as requested by staff members Requirements Specific qualifications for the role include: 2-7 years’ industry experience Solid market/internet research skills Familiarity with relevant market research databases (Profound, Lexis-Nexis, Dialog Chem, Delphion, Science Direct, etc.) Highly proficient in MS office suite (PPT, Word, Excel) Excellent communication skills Ability to work independently; Highly self-motivated and self-directed Acute attention to detail Ability and desire to learn quickly Entrepreneurial attitude; Team player; Energetic and dynamic personality Background in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering or other science required
