Location: Enfield, North London (Hybrid – minimum 2 days per week in the office)

The Role

This position plays a key role in delivering accurate, insightful financial support across a wide range of services. You’ll be responsible for budget setting, monitoring, statutory reporting, financial analysis, and leading process improvements. You’ll also support and coach colleagues, helping to ensure high-quality service delivery.

Depending on your skill set and experience, you'll work in one of two areas:

  • Finance Business Partnering – supporting budget holders, financial planning, grant monitoring, and decision-making.
  • Corporate Accountancy – managing financial controls, statutory returns, reconciliations, and audit support.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Provide expert financial advice and support across departments.
  • Lead on key processes such as reconciliations, returns, year-end, and audit preparation.
  • Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities.
  • Train, mentor and support team members to deliver a consistent and efficient service.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards and best practice.

About You

You’ll be confident working independently and collaboratively, with a strong understanding of public sector or complex financial environments. You should have:

  • Experience in financial management, planning, or corporate accounting.
  • Excellent technical knowledge (e.g. IFRS, CIPFA).
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A proactive, analytical mindset.
  • AAT qualified (or equivalent) or actively working towards CCAB qualification.
