The Store Manager actively works to ensure the highest level of customer service is provided to each customer per company standards and policy. Store Managers must be competent in generating sales, and the overall day to day management of store operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages sales and customer service activities and staff competence in these areas, so as to optimize and sustain sales performance, profitability and customer satisfaction.
Processes required electronic timekeeping and payroll hours utilized reports. Plansand schedules man-hour allocation ensuring maximum customer service levels at all times.
Report on sales,costs and business performance.
Consistently and accurately conducts mandatory weekly inventory audits as directed by supervisor against RMS(Retail Management Systems)inventory counts.
Proactively manage expenses and all margin drivers affecting the profitability of the store. This includes consulting your immediate supervisor or corporate for advice, guidance, or direction. Ensures security of facility during non business hours.
Successfully completes RMS training. Ensures staff and self are consistent in execution of daily procedures such as returns/exchanges; cash/credit/ paperwork, reconciliation; proper application of discounts; creating PO's; configuring and creating reports; merchandise transfers, markdowns and other customer service tasks.
Manage and maintain inventory levels to assure maximum profitability.
Accurately performs merchandise processing, including processing in the RMS system; merchandise inspection, tagging, replenishment and display. Administers markdowns and replenishment for merchandise on floor and in stockroom. Follows all published procedures in returning product to warehouse or vendor.
Demonstrates a working knowledge of all retail merchandise including price, special product considerations, stock location on floor and stockroom, promotions and advertisements.
Acts as a liaison between Sales Associates, Area/Regional Managers and Corporate.
·Manages, motivates, recruits, interviews, trains and develops staff and self according to company policies, state and federal employment laws, and ensures HR procedures are followed.
Documents and takes appropriate discipline action in a timely manner after consulting with HR and Area Manager to address performance problems or misconduct. Prepares and administers disciplinary action. Makes recommendations to supervisor on merit increases in pay and recommends superior performance associates for promotion.
Consults with supervisor or HR on needed training aids and recommends new, training opportunities when available.
Actively assists with maintaining the store appearance, keeping merchandise neatly organized and attractively displayed, dust and clean shelves and racks regularly, vacuuming floors, cleaning restrooms, arcade and other housekeeping tasks.
Assist with pre-counts and prepares merchandise for scanning before inventory. Ensures all mandated documentation is available on inventory day for team.
Organize, prepare and/or assist with special projects/events. Provides support to other stores as needed. Plans, conducts and attends occasional store meetings, either before or after store hours.
Other duties as assigned.
Must be able to effectively interact with the public, provide excellent customer service and manage staff to do the same.
Must be willing and able to work a 48 hr/week flexible schedule that includes evenings, weekends, holidays, special events and 3rd shift as needed (for 24 hour stores only).
Must possess and display a dedication to the company mission and vision.
Must be able to communicate clearly, congenially and knowledgeably when speaking with customers or staff relating to products of a personal nature.
Must be flexible and open to relocation as business needs dictate.
Must be computer literate.
Possess reliable transportation.
Must have above average organizational skills.

High School diploma or equivalent.
3+ years of retail and management experience preferred.
Subject to lifting and/or carrying up to 40 lbs.
Standing and walking for extended periods of time.
·Stooping, bending, squatting, reaching above or below waist, kneeling, grasping, pushing, pulling, fine manipulating and data entry as dictated by workload.
