Main tasks and responsibilities
· Develop and maintain an understanding of company services to support effective customer and supplier communication.
· Coordinate and track schedules with external suppliers and partners, ensuring tasks and commitments are completed on time.
· Record and report on variances, corrective actions, and associated costs to maintain accurate documentation.
· Communicate proactively with customers regarding schedule changes, service updates, or impacts on delivery times.
· Set up additional collections or service requests on behalf of internal teams and customers.
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date administrative records, including systems, reports, and documentation.
· Coordinate the administration of company vehicles and liaise with depots to ensure smooth operations.
· Support the wider team with general administrative tasks, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
· Act as the first point of contact for incoming customer queries via phone and email, ensuring timely and professional responses.
· Promote the company's brand values and standards through professional conduct, communication, and customer care.
· Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers, suppliers, and colleagues.
· Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes, enhance customer satisfaction, and support operational efficiency.
· Carry out any other administrative tasks as required by senior management.

Education and Experience
Essential:
· Experience of working in a customer service function;
· Ability to influence suppliers to effect best in class;
· Self-motivated team player with the ability to work on their own;
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;

· Ability to reliably commute to GFS offices;
