Milk Education is working alongside a warm and welcoming primary school in the L11 area to appoint a passionate and committed Year 1 Class Teacher for a short-term role covering the Autumn Term (September to December 2025).

This is a great opportunity for a confident and nurturing teacher to make a real difference in a settled, well-behaved class during the first term of the school year.

About the Role:

Full class responsibility for a Year 1 class

Delivering engaging lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum

Supporting pupils' phonics, early writing, and maths development

Maintaining a positive and structured learning environment

Working closely with the KS1 team, TA, and SLT

Supporting ongoing assessment and parent communication

What We're Looking For:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Experience teaching in KS1, ideally Year 1

Strong knowledge of phonics (e.g. Read Write Inc or Little Wandle)

A warm, organised, and supportive teaching style

DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
