Engage education are currently seeking a qualified Science Teache to work in an SEN environment that was recognised as outstanding for its pupil progression. The students are between age 11 and 16 and all have additional needs including ASD, ADHD and SEMH needs. The school fosters a supportive and engaging environment.

Job specification

• PGCE, Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent teaching qualification and evidence of in-service training.
• Ability to teach Science up to and including GCSE level
• Working knowledge of students with complex needs and SEND.
• Evidence of sound knowledge of the national curriculum.
• Knowledge, understanding and experience of autism and associated co-morbid conditions and how these can affect learning.
• Curriculum development and implementation for pupils with SEND

Person specification

• QTS or extensive experience teaching.
