Role: Team Leader Children's Residential
Location: Greater Manchester
Salary: £31,096 - £33,800 (depending on qualifications and experience (scale based on qualifications and experience, inclusive of sleep in at £50 per sleep - Minimum of 4 sleeps per month).
Outreach Staffing Solutions are currently working alongside a client in the Greater Manchester area.
We are supporting with the recruitment of an experienced Deputy Manager for a small children's home dedicated to supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
Our Client is a Small Children's Residential provider who are committed to providing quality therapeutic residential care to children & young people.
Duties and Responsibilities of a Deputy Manager:
The Deputy Manager will support the Registered Manager in shaping and delivering the Homes Statement of Purpose and managing the team to achieve the same.
The Deputy Manager will support the Registered Manager in their responsibility for providing high quality care services that support the needs of the children and young people, to be an advocate for their well-being and to provide strong, motivational leadership to staff.
The Deputy Manager will support the Registered Manager in their responsibility for delivering childcare that is focussed on obtaining the best outcomes for each child and young person within the Home. Consequently, they are expected to demonstrate practical leadership in childcare, as well as organise and support staff to provide the best possible care for each child and young person.
Requirements for the role:
- Childcare qualification - Diploma Level 3 /4 or equivalent
- Level 5 Diploma in Management and Leadership in Children's Residential (desirable but not essential)
- You must be over 21 years old.
- Minimum of 1 years experience working in a residential setting
- Ability to relate to and communicate with young people forming and maintaining appropriate relationships and personal boundaries with young people.
- Emotional resilience in working with challenging behaviours
- Hold a full UK Driving Licence
