A dynamic, medium-sized Mechanical Contractor with a turnover of around £50m and ambitious growth plans requires a Lead Mechanical Project Manager to join its team, due to securing one of their largest ever projects - a £20m mechanical fit-out of eleven storeys of office space in Central London, due to begin design stage in September.  

You will be the lead for the whole project and manage a team of Engineers, Construction Managers / Supervisors and other white collar operatives, working alongside the Project Quantity Surveyor. 

This opportunity is available on both a PAYE and freelance basis.

Roles and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Preparation of commissioning documents
Planning the development of the project and be responsible for any engineering issues
Working with the Quantity Surveyor to manage cost and make sure the project is within or below budget
Leading progress meetings with client and external stakeholders
Use the request for information system to communicate queries with the design team
Preparing risk assessments and method statements
Ensure all relevant safety objectives and legal requirements are followed throughout the project
Ensure quality control is up to date through inspections and snagging
Delegation of work to the delivery team
