We are seeking a Progress Coach to join a Construction and Engineering Department on a temporary basis. This role is ideal for someone with a background in construction and engineering. As a Progress Coach, you will support students in achieving their academic and personal goals by providing guidance, mentorship, and resources.
Progress Coach- Job Type: Temporary ( term time only)
- Location: Surrey
- Salary: up to £20ph
Day-to-day of the role of a Progress Coach:- Work closely with Study Programme students to help them overcome obstacles and succeed in their educational journey.
- Collaborate with the Director of Learning, Programme Manager, and the rest of the team to support students in their learning and create positive and trusting relationships.
- Implement intervention strategies, set improvement plans, and progress targets while working on retention strategies for learners.
- Work closely with the safeguarding team to ensure constant communication around vulnerable learners.
- Monitor and track all students on caseload to ensure their success and well-being.
Required Skills & Qualifications for the Progress Coach:- Maths & English GCSE / Level 2 equivalent.
- Experience working with disengaged young people.
- Experience with young people experiencing SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health difficulties).
- Good IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Packages.
- Excellent communication and written skills.
- Qualification in youth work, child psychology, social work, or teaching and learning is desirable.
