Marks Sattin are delighted to be working with a well-known Leeds based business who are looking for a Divisional Head of Finance. This role has arisen due to internal promotion and is a very exciting time for the business, offering fantastic career progression for the right candidate.
Responsibilities will include:
- Build and lead a high performing and effectively structured team based across multiple locations and business units
- Play an effective role within the Finance senior leadership team, participating and contributing in the achievement of functional goals and objectives
- Develop and maintain effective stakeholder relationships, ensuring goals and ways of working remain aligned at all times
- Act as an advisor to the operational and sales leadership teams, providing financial support both proactively and reactively to drive business growth
- Use the financial results, forecasts & KPIs to identify trends in performance - communicate these clearly to the business to ensure that any risks / opportunities or changes in the market are understood and where appropriate acted upon
- Collaborate with all functions across the Company to support with commercial decision making, with a particular focus on the financials and risk management
- Preparation of monthly management information including financial results, KPIs and key narrative against the forecast, budget and prior year
- Engage in regular insightful financial reviews with key stakeholders to review performance and to agree actions to maximize opportunities and remedy key risks to achieve financial targets
- Lead the rolling annual forecasting process through independent analysis and engagement with key business stakeholders with a focus on short term accuracy and the identification of key risks and opportunities
- Identification of both business and financial control improvements with subsequent responsibility to implement recommendations
This opportunity is ideally suited to a qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) candidate with extensive commercial experience. Excellent communication skills are required, with the ability to advise, challenge and influence.
