DT Technician

• Job Type: Full-time, Temporary (Until 22/05/2026)
• Location: Blackburn
• Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM

We are currently seeking a skilled DT Technician to support our specialist Design and Technology (DT) classrooms. Safety is our top priority, and the ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing DT environments safely and effectively.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Set up and maintain DT equipment and materials.
• Ensure all safety protocols are followed in the DT classroom.
• Assist teachers and students during DT lessons.
• Manage inventory and order supplies as needed.
• Perform routine checks and maintenance on DT machinery and tools.
• Support students in using DT equipment safely and correctly.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a DT Technician or similar role.
• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations in a school DT environment.
• Relevant qualifications in Design and Technology or a related field.
• Excellent organizational and technical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills, with the ability to instruct and support students effectively.
