Your new role
As Finance Manager, you will be responsible for managing and supporting the monthly accounting close, reporting, analytics and financial reporting. You will review and approve monthly balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries and validate Opex and Balance Sheet accounts to ensure adherence to policies and procedures. You will also take ownership of trend analysis, validating data to ensure a culture of strong review mechanisms. This is a highly visible role working closely with other teams in VAT, Tax, Audit Treasury and Group process owners to support queries and reporting. You will also manage a small team to deliver the month end close and support projects to improve the close process.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a fully qualified accountant with experience of large and complex businesses. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, a strong process and client orientation and excellent analytical & problem-solving skills. You will work well both independently and as part of a team. Previous experience of a shared service centre or similar fast paced environment, would be an advantage, as would previous exposure to large ERP systems like SAP or Oracle. Strong Excel skills are also required.
