Position: Director IV Full-Time
Location: Windsor, CT
Rate of Pay: $65,000 annually
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm
Full-Time Director IV Summary: Responsible for the development, management, and implementation of community employment programs for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Responsibilities include marketing agency services to community employers, developing jobs opportunities for participants, and coordinating training opportunities for program staff. Maintains management control for all aspects of the local area operations in accordance with agency mission, leadership objectives, policies and practices, program funding, regulatory agencies, licensing and accreditation standards.
Full-Time Director IV Qualifications: Master’s degree in social work, psychology or related field with a minimum of five years experience in management or supervisory position OR Bachelor’s degree in human service field with ten years related experience of which five have been in a management position. Knowledge and respect for diverse population.
Full-Time Director IV Requirements: Demonstrated proficiency in financial management. Ability to read, write and interpret documents such as policy and procedure manuals. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures. Ability to calculate figures, interpret, and analyze financial statements. Organizational skills, creative abilities, and excellent written and oral communication are a must to effectively present information and respond to questions about the program. Demonstrated competency using Microsoft Word, Excel, email, and internet. Exercises sound judgment in problem solving, prioritization and multitasking. A broad range of interpersonal skills to work with employees, program participants, community employers, funding sources, and other professionals. Valid driver’s license, 3 years driving experience, good driving record, use of vehicle with compulsory auto insurance and vehicle registration, and willingness to transport program members in personal and/or agency vehicle. Must be able to travel within the region to access residential settings, employers, and community organizations.
